Marin Alsop is chief conductor of the São Paulo Symphony Orchestra where she is in charge of artistic and creative programming, recording and outreach activities.
In this Sinfini Music interview, conducted by Edward Seckerson, Marin talks about her life in Brazil and the open approach the public there takes to music. She discusses her love for the music of the Americas, and the joys of exploring repertoire that's still little known to many in Europe, particularly that by many South American composers.
